There is a giant chasm between my head and my heart.

Turn me to You, Jesus. Guard my heart. I don’t even know what specifically needs to change, Jesus. Please reveal Your will and soften my heart to it.

Father, I am so rebellious by heart. And when I rebel, my heart is saying to You that I’m not interested. Lord, that is the danger I walk in. Of my own strength, I will fall into darkness. Guard me, for I cannot guard my own heart.

Father, be with Mackenzie. Send Your Holy Spirit onto her, and give her peace. Give her wisdom in her chemistry class while sanctifying her through this process. Protect her against lies from the enemy. Guard her identity in You.

Lord, let me repent and walk in Your ways. Give me grace, for You are faithful. You are my heart’s deepest desire. Guard my heart, Jesus. Protect me when I am tempted, and do not let me fall away and become apathetic.
